David Glynn

David Glynn

David Glynn was a resident of St. Petersburg but summered in Bennington, NH. He actually was an author on the history of Bennington and one of the first charter members of the town's historical society. David grew up in Bennington in the upstairs portion of a house that his grandmother ran as a sort of boarding house. People in town on business at the paper mill stayed at the house.

Later, David became a chef and was well known for his three-bean salad and the jellies and jams he made with freshly picked berries from his property.

David passed away last May and St. Petersburg Free Clinic was one of several non-profit organizations that was a beneficiary of his estate. Unfortunately, we did not have the opportunity to meet David. The information provided above was retrieved from an article in the Monadnock Ledger. But his gift is evidence that he was aware of the great work that the Free Clinic does in our community and we will be forever grateful. It will be used where needed most but, if we had the opportunity to meet David and learn what he cared most about, we could have designated his gift in that way. And we would have had the opportunity to personally thank him and recognize him as a member of our Legacy Society. That would have been a wonderful way to honor his memory.

We would like to take this time now to thank David and all our donors who recognize how we change lives by providing food, shelter and health care to our neighbors in need.

If you are so generous as to include the Free Clinic in your will, please let us know so that we can include you in our Legacy Society, thank you, and share how your bequest will make an impact, according to your wishes.

For more information on how to include the Free Clinic in your will, please contact Debbie Sokolov, CFRE at (727)821-1200, ext. 110.
